Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year

 

Dear Families,

On behalf of the entire Houston Academy staff, we extend a warm welcome to the 2025–2026 school year. We sincerely hope you enjoyed a safe, restful, and rejuvenating summer. Our team is excited to resume our partnership with you as we work together to ensure that every scholar reaches their highest potential.

As administrators, we remain deeply committed to delivering rigorous academic instruction while fostering meaningful leadership opportunities for all students. This year, we will continue to expand the implementation of the Leader in Me program, with an emphasis on internalizing the Leader in Me pledge and incorporating the principles of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into daily practice. All scholars will be expected to actively engage in developing and fulfilling leadership roles as part of their educational journey.

 

At Houston Academy, we believe in making every school day meaningful. To sustain our forward momentum, it is essential that all families reinforce our expectations for students to conduct themselves in ways that enhance the overall learning environment. We expect all scholars to model positive behavior and serve as role models for their peers. We encourage all families to read the School, Student and Parent contract in advance. A copy will be sent home for parents to review. It is mandatory for all families to return the signature page to the school upon reviewing with your scholar. 

 

We are especially proud of the progress reflected in our Spring 2025 NJSLA results. Houston Academy continues to demonstrate academic growth, and we remain focused on achieving mastery of grade-level standards for all scholars. Attaining this goal will require stronger relationships and a collective commitment to collaboration. Together, we possess a wealth of knowledge, and by leveraging our collective talents, resources, and strengths, we can continue to move our school community forward.
